Cinema Redux

Have you ever seen a film broken up and pieced together as a single image? Brendan Dawes used a neat little Java program to capture an image of a film every second, producing a sort of map for each individual film.  Every line is one minute of film….feel free to get lost in these images, and just try not to play the film in your mind.

Vertigo – Alfred Hitchcock – 1958

I love how you can see the falling dream sequence about 3/4 of the way into the film.

Taxi Driver – Martin Scorcese – 1976

Check out his site for more.
